The purpose of the RCRC Diaconate is to show love, kindness and mercy to those who are in need and to
encourage the congregation in the same.


Outreach to the congregation
1. Senior Christmas Brunch - A party extravaganza especially for our 65+ Super Seniors to kick off the holiday
season
2. Servicemen and women and College Students - Notes/cards/gifts and words of encouragement
3. Meals & Transportation - Providing meals and transportation to those in the congregation who are
experiencing illness or who need a ride to church events
4. Visiting - Regular visits to encourage the chronically ill/shut-ins/elderly of the congregation
5. CD Ministry - Providing copies of weekly services to those who are unable to attend


Outreach to the Local Community
1. Harvest Outreach - Collecting food on a monthly basis and providing volunteers every other month to work
in the food pantry
2. Benevolence gifts - Financial assistance for those in crisis with such needs as rent, gas, food, emergency
shelter, or medical attention
3. Participation in local outreach events such as Make A Difference Day and Convoy of Hope
4. Local Mission Trips to provide service and bring the Gospel to those who are hurting in our community;
recent projects include Habitat for Humanity & Racine Christian School


Outreach to the Global Community
1. Peter Fish - annual collection of coins for World Renew to combat world hunger
2. World Renew Giving Tree - Each ornament on the Christmas tree is a purchase of animals, sewing machines,
wheel chairs, educational materials or disaster relief supplies for World Renew to use as they provide
humanitarian relief across the world
3. Disaster Relief - Summer Mission (Green Shirt) trips organized to provide disaster relief. Recent trips
include Joplin, MO; Iowa; and St. Louis, MO.
